After Riteish Deshmukh, Govindrao is going to make his bollywood debut from Latur.
For a farmer's son, it's like a dream come true when he got selected for the lead character in the upcoming bollywood movie Slumdog Karodpati, directed by Rajesh Patole. The film will see him play a very interesting and action role of 'Municipality'.
The actor says, "I'm happy to have got the opportunity to play the main lead in my first Bollywood movie. I am very excited and happy with my role. I auditioned for my role when I heard that the producer Arul Raj is looking for a fresh face for his movie. I am playing the character of Municipality, who is a very simple boy lives in the slum area of Mumbai".
Govindrao got his first break in the year 2007 in a negative role for the Telugu movie "Crazy Boys" and ‘The Fort’. After that, he did Two years acting workshop in Mumbai, then he got Lead role in Marathi film "Khindar", "Channi" and "Valya Cha Valmiki" also he did few short films and TV ads. He has two more projects that are in their post-production stage, and will release soon.
